Please join me in congratulating members of the HHS Speech/Debate team who competed at the National Forensic League national qualifying meet this past weekend. The following students beat out some of the most competitive teams/students in the state to qualify to represent Texas at the NFL National tournament in Indianapolis in June:

Javid Aboii - Congressional Debate (House)
Janie Townsend - Dramatic Interpretation
Javid is the first freshman from our school to ever qualify for Nationals - in one of the most challenging congressional qualifying tournaments in the nation! Additionally, please extend a congratulations to the following students who, though not qualifying for nationals, were very successful at the tournament:

Lindsey Butler - 1st Alternate, Congressional Debate (Senate)
